It’s almost time to bid you farewell, Uterus, my old friend. We’ve been there for each other through thick and thin, through the ups and downs, through the highs and lows. You’ve given me two beautiful children and attempted to give me three more. I was born with you, but I won’t pass from this world with you. You have been the most loyal and hard-working Giver of Life, but now it’s time for me to allow you to gently retire and give you permission to rest. You have done the hard yards, my friend. I would not be where I am today without you. I am eternally grateful to you, my loyal, steadfast, partner-in-creation. We’ve come a long way in our four-and-a-bit decades of walking this Earth together. I know undoubtedly that you are the reason I am where I am today. I am ready to walk the next phase of my life with you cheering me on. Hats off to you, my old friend.
